As the Associate Engineering Manager – Automation Testing, you’ll lead a team of automation engineers, define and execute the test automation strategy, collaborate with engineering, product and DevOps teams, and ensure high-quality, reliable software releases by building and maintaining automation frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and promoting best practices in test automation.
Responsibilities :
Define the automation testing strategy: what to automate, when, automation framework choice, test coverage targets, CI/CD integration.
Lead the design, development and maintenance of test automation frameworks (e.g., using tools such as Selenium WebDriver with Java, Appium for mobile, Robot-framework, etc).
Development of automated test scripts (functional, regression, integration, API) and ensure reuse, maintainability, scalability of automation assets.
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD/DevOps pipeline (e.g., using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and ensure tests run reliably with every build/deployment.
Required Qualification :
8+ years of software testing/automation experience, with 2-4+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong hands-on experience in automation frameworks and tools: e.g., Selenium with Java, Appium, Robot, etc.
Experience in designing & implementing automation frameworks, scripting, test data management, test suite maintenance.
Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, version control, build/deploy/test integration.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, working in sprints, collaborating cross-functionally.
