Manual Testing - Consultant

Description :
As the Consultant in Manual Testing, you will play a critical role in assuring software quality by designing and executing manual test cases, collaborating with functional and technical teams, tracking defects, and ensuring that delivered applications meet the business and user-expectation standards.
Responsibilities :
- Review and analyse requirements (business, functional, system) and identify testable items, ambiguities, gaps.
- Prepare test artifacts: test plan, test scenarios, test cases, test data, traceability matrices (RTM).
- Execute manual test cases across functional, integration, regression, UAT, and system testing phases.
- Log, track, retest defects; report defect status, trends, and support defect‐triage calls and root‐cause analyses.
- Work closely with business analysts, development, infrastructure teams to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, trigger retests and validate fixes.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives (in Agile environment) to ensure quality is built into the process.
- Maintain documentation (test logs, execution reports, release test closure) and contribute to knowledge sharing (lessons learnt, best practices).
Required Qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience in software testing / quality assurance, especially manual testing.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing lifecycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience creating and executing test artifacts (test plans, cases, data) and defect lifecycle management.
- Good domain knowledge helpful (for example: banking/finance, payments, e-commerce, telecom) depending on the organisation.
- Experience with test management / defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, Bugzilla) and basic SQL or data validation skills.
