As a Lead Consultant specialising in performance testing, you will own and drive the non-functional quality (specifically performance, scalability, reliability) of one or more systems/applications. You will define strategy, lead the team, collaborate with architecture, development, DevOps and business stakeholders, and ensure the systems meet the required performance attributes.

As a Lead Consultant specialising in performance testing, you will own and drive the non-functional quality (specifically performance, scalability, reliability) of one or more systems/applications. You will define strategy, lead the team, collaborate with architecture, development, DevOps and business stakeholders, and ensure the systems meet the required performance attributes.
Collaborate with stakeholders (business, product, QA, operations) to define performance requirements (SLAs, non-functional requirements) and ensure traceability through to test execution and result review.
Lead a team of performance engineers/testers (on-site and/or offshore), mentor junior staff, allocate tasks, ensure quality delivery, manage multiple streams.
Communicate test status, risks, results and recommendations to senior management and client stakeholders. Provide visibility into performance readiness for releases.
Required Qualification :
Significant hands-on experience (often 7-10+ years) in performance testing, with several years in a lead/consultant role.
Strong expertise with performance test tools and technologies: e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Performance Center, Gatling, etc.
Experience with performance monitoring and analysis tools / APM (e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic) and ability to interpret metrics (CPU, memory, network I/O, DB latency) and identify bottlenecks.
Strong knowledge of protocols and system architectures: HTTP/HTTPS, REST/SOAP web services, batch processes, microservices, cloud infrastructure, containers, etc.
Experience working in agile/DevOps environments, integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and leveraging cloud/infrastructure for testing.
